Rob and Peter started WaterSmart Software to make it easier for people to save water. They were motivated by their personal commitments to the welfare of people and the planet.

The idea for WaterSmart was hatched when they had trouble finding out how much water they had saved after installing new water-saving appliances. They couldn't find out because their utilities don't provide online access to historical records.

This year, Peter calculated he used 40% less water than when he moved in 2001. So he and Rob wondered:

How much water and money could be saved if everyone used WaterSmart?

Now we are helping others find out how much water they used, how much money they could save, how they compare to their neighbors, and how to get rewarded for using water sustainably.
